Budokan Judo Club Term 2

Posted by Rodger Mon, 05 May 2008 00:41:00 GMT

Judo starts back on Tuesday the 6th of May at 5.30pm promptly for the juniors. Juniors will finish at 6.30pm and our first intermediate class will start straight away.

Intermediate class will run between 6.30pm and 7.15. This class is for all junior who will be competing or looking to compete this year and those older juniors/youth who aren’t old enough or ready for the senior class.

Seniors will be from 7pm til 8.30pm.

Also a reminder that Elise is looking for someone to oversee the catering for the Wellington Open Champs on May the 18th. She is unable to be there that day and needs someone to organise everything and run the catering that day. This is our last chance to do this fundraising before the new food hygiene regulation come in.

Wellington Open 18th May—Elise will be taking registrations on Tuesday night for this. All Yellow belts and above should be competing.

This is just a reminder that Tuesday is the last training of the year - both senior and junior. We will start at 5.30pm as usual and play some games and then have prize giving and some nibbles. We should be finished up by 7pm at the latest. Please could you all bring a plate to share and siblings and parents are very welcome to join the kids on the mat for games.

Also a reminder that fees are now overdue - if you have any queries please email me back or see Elise on Tuesday night.

We are also making sure we have current contact details for everyone so please again come and see Elise if they have changed or if she hasn’t checked them with you.

Term 1 2008 will start is to be confirmed - watch this space. Note the dojo is still booked for our use on Tuesdays for anyone who wants to drop in for impromptu sessions.

Dear Players, Parents & Caregivers

1st International Kodokan Kata Competition

Alan and Lisa would like to give their thanks to all those who have supported them for the competition. They presented the Kodokan with a hand carved kanuka patu from Budokan Judo Club Inc. They were not placed in the competition but had a fruitful time making contacts and receiving instruction in the finer points of kata from the kata masters.
